The three-days motorsports festival Formula 1 Grand Prix hosted by Zandvoort between 2-4 September again this year. As certainly expected by the 105,000 fans in orange, Max Verstappen has won the race.

The Dutch Formula 1 Grand Prix was held thirty times between 1952 and 1985. After a 35-year absence, the race was planned to return to Circuit Zandvoort in 2020 but, because of corona restrictions it was held in 2021 with limited watchers and activities.

This year, It was huge and held as a week long festival in the the town. Municipality Zandvoort, Dutch community workers, hotels, cafes, restaurants and beach clubs were fully prepared to serve for the fans, during the races of 3 days and the after parties which continued all night.

Dutch Railways (NS) did run every five minutes from early mornings and late evenings, a train during this long weekend between Amsterdam Central and Zandvoort to bring a maximum of 10,000 travelers per hour to the races and back.

So it was overall a successful! But I have to admit that the residents of Zandvoort who had to suffer a bit and survive of the hustle and bustle in their half occupy town!
